Recently completed an MRes in Design at the Royal College of Art after 6 years of Bachelor and Master in Greece with a stop in Berlin. In the past, I worked as an animation designer, graphic designer, and Co-production manager. During the last year, I worked as a UI/UX designer.

I am an interdisciplinary designer, engineer, and researcher. I am also a Co-Founder of a collective called re(s)public collective, an interdisciplinary research collective. As a group, we rethink the narratives of space and its related disciplines through critical design, fine arts, and architecture. We aim at bridging disciplines and looking beyond the scission of academia, business, and art. We believe that in the intersection of these worlds lays the inspiration and the creation of value. We believe in conversation, in learning through making, and we believe in the future. Our work offers space for reflection on art and creative practice through research.

During my research, I used to investigate the Human-Computer Interaction and its associated impact on society. My design-led research attempted to rethink existing Al and autonomous systems as socially empowering infrastructures, taking into consideration how ethics is enacted through design.

Currently, I am interested in the deeper comprehension of the relationship we have with our bodies and the possible application of this knowledge in the design cycle. In Greek, the body is called SOMA (SOMA). It is not an object, it is not just a tool. It is reflecting our needs, our feelings, our identity. That is the reason why philosopher Richard Shusterman used this word and talks about “Somaesthetics”. I believe that “Soma” is us but is also the mean to find others. In such a manner, in the context of design, the importance of somatic consciousness is versatile.

Research Interests

  • Exploring the role of embodiment in (service) design
  • Artificial Intelligence research: Understanding and visualizing complex Al systems based on literature review and applying cybernetics
  • Strategy design: following a human-centered/more than human approach
  • Critical and speculative design: designing and conducting future-scaping workshops
  • Physical and digital interaction/experience design:
    • Systems thinking
    • Interaction and interface design
    • Digital and physical prototyping
    • Physical computing and simulation, user testing prototypes, and interventions
    • Experience in managing and working with multi/transdisciplinary teams
