The increasing complexity of identifying needs and creating new products and systems requires a horizontal cognitive background that will allow for a comprehensive view of the “product” life cycle. 

The 3rd stream of study addresses this aspect of design and builds up to the knowledge homogeneity required for handling the design life-cycle. The students are introduced to and become acquainted with the design theory, methodologies and processes required to address key questions such as “what, how, when and why to design”, as well as how they approach and administer the design process.
