The virtual world was accessible during my exhibition, which took place between the 14th and 23rd of August 2010 in the Cultural Center of Hermoupolis in Syros island. Remote visitors could access the virtual exhibition through my webpage, in which a hyperlink to the client application was provided. The virtual world was also projected in the actual exhibition space and visitors could browse the activity in real time and use the facility provided, i.e. a handheld device and a keyboard, to interact with the environment. The installation actually attracted the majority of the exhibition visitors and a significant percentage of them interacted with it. Furthermore, a lot of remote visitors joined the virtual world, especially people familiar with the artist's work who could not physically access the exhibition. Figures show visitors using the handheld device to navigate in the virtual world.

Με την ευκαιρία της παρούσας έκθεσης η ερευνητική ομάδα του εργαστήριου Σχεδίασης Διαδραστικών Συστημάτων του Τμήματος Μηχανικών Σχεδίασης Προϊόντων και Συστημάτων του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου θα παρουσιάσει πειραματική εφαρμογή στην οποία το περιβάλλον της έκθεσης θα αναπαρίσταται σε τρισδιάστατο εικονικό κόσμο. Τον κόσμο αυτό θα έχουν τη δυνατότητα να επισκεφτούν τόσο απομακρυσμένοι χρήστες μέσω διαδικτύου από τον υπολογιστή τους, όσο και οι επισκέπτες της έκθεσης οι οποίοι θα μπορούν να πλοηγηθούν με τη χρήση ειδικού χειριστηρίου στο περιβάλλον που θα προβάλλεται σε κατάλληλα διαμορφωμένο χώρο της έκθεσης.
