The aim of the course is to familiarize participants to the field of organization theory through the presentation and analysis of ‘traditional’ theories as well as contemporary approaches (e.g. classical theories of organizations, bureaucracy, contingency approaches, symobolic - interactionist approaches, post-modern approaches). Τhe understanding of these approaches is enriched by reference to the changes in the focus of organizational phenomena under study.
