I am currently employed as Associate Professor by the Department of Product & Systems Design Engineering at the University of the Aegean.

Over the past few years I have conducted research in the fields of distributed computing, mobile code, network and systems management, network design, wireless web, e-commerce, m-commerce, mobile computing, cultural and tourist multimedia applications in handheld devices, wireless sensor networks and mobile wireless ad-hoc networks.

Currently, I serve as guest-editor in the Special Issue on "Mobile and Pervasive Applications in Tourism" of the Pervasive and Mobile Computing journal (Elsevier Science, SCI-indexed, Impact factor: 1.629). I also serve as guest editor in the Special Issue on "Mobile and Pervasive Games" of the Personal and Ubiquitous Computing journal (Springer Science, SCI-indexed, Impact factor: 1.133).
